Mountaineering & Scrambling

Mountaineering

Very little compares to the feeling of accomplishment standing on a summit, surrounded by friends and beautiful views after hiking and scrambling up a picturesque and challenging route. In fact, that was how the idea of Redpoint Adventure was hatched; on the summit of Tryfan in Snowdonia.

At Redpoint Adventure, we offer courses in a variety of topics to ensure that you enjoy your time in the mountains, whilst being safe and prepared throughout. These courses include an introduction to mountaineering, which covers preparation, navigation, mountain-craft, flora and fauna, emergency procedures and much more. This is a complete package designed to take those with little or no experience through to being able to safely head out into the mountains by themselves. More specific courses are also offered that introduce navigation and scrambling, as well as courses designed to build on existing skills and knowledge in these disciplines.

Redpoint currently runs 3 Mountaineering & Scrambling courses:

Introduction to Mountaineering

This course aims to take those with little or no prior experience to being competent, self-sufficient and safe on the mountains over the course of five days.

Private Guiding

We also offer private guiding for those with specific routes in mind, with specific skills to learn or for those simply wishing to maximise their enjoyment of their time in the outdoors by spending it with a guide who not only can ensure their safety and security, but can also impart their extensive knowledge on topics such as flora and fauna, mythology and history.
