Alastair

Chief Instructor
From leading in Snowdonia to trekking in the Himalaya, Alastair is a passionate leader, instructor and adventurer, who aims to introduce people to the wonders of the outdoors through new, bespoke and exciting challenges.

He has trekked, mountaineered and climbed around the world, from the Himalaya to Africa. Through a wealth of experience, Alastair has developed himself as a skilled and practised rock climber, hill walker and adventurer, with an aim to share this knowledge. He holds mountaineering and rock climbing qualifications (ML & SPA), as well as being a qualified Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition Assessor, and so you can rest assured that you are in safe hands.

Whilst adventures such as wild camping on the edge of an Icelandic glacier and watching the moon rise behind Mount Everest from another Himalayan summit have been highlights of Alastair’s career, it is within the UK that he learnt his skills, pushed his limits and truly learnt about adventure. We are incredibly lucky to live on an island as amazing as ours. Ours is a country that contains a world class selection of climbing and mountaineering routes thanks to the long, elegant mountain routes of Snowdonia, the intense, short pitches of the Peak District and the wild winters of the Highlands. We are fortunate as well to be able to wild camp in beautiful surroundings, with unique flora and fauna whilst undertaking challenging and adventurous hikes and treks. Whether you’re training for international summits or you’re new to the outdoors and want to explore more, Alastair is here to help.
